Brandt McDonald began his career in the financial services industry with Morgan Keegan & Company in 1989. He then transitioned his financial advisor practice to Morgan Stanley/Dean Witter where he took on the additional role of Syndicate Coordinator, working closely with the investment banking group. In 1998, he became an independent financial advisor and founded McDonald Financial Services, LLC, an independent branch office of LPL Financial, member FINRA/SIPC. The firm manages and advises on over 500 Million dollars in assets nationally for individuals and institutions.
In his current practice, Brandt combines his extensive knowledge with a desire to provide comprehensive wealth management services that help families develop purpose for their wealth. In addition to serving high-net-worth clients (athletes, executives, business owners, and institutions), Brandt serves as InVista Advisor's Portfolio Manager.
Brandt McDonald is a sought after speaker and commentator on financial markets and global economics, with frequent media appearances on WSFA 12 News and a local radio show, Happy Hour with Greg Budell, produced by News Talk 93.1 FM. His expertise was also highlighted on the WSFA show “Time of Your Life,” where Brandt provided important information for Baby Boomers on his segment called “Making Cents.”
Brandt holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Auburn University. He is also an active board member of The Bruce Pearl Family Foundation and devotes time to the Hudson Family Foundation.
Brandt was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama and still resides in the area. Away from the office, he enjoys fishing, golf and traveling in addition to the study of history and global economics.
One of his favorite quotes is from the poem O Me! O Life! by Walt Whitman, “That you are here—that life exists and identity. That the powerful play goes on, and you may contribute a verse.”
Brandt McDonald is solely an investment advisor representative of InVista Advisors, and not affiliated with LPL Financial.
