COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS

Brandt | Joy to Life Foundation

The Joy to Life Foundation’s mission is to provide free mammograms and other breast cancer screenings when necessary to medically underserved women in Alabama, build and support breast cancer awareness among all Alabamians, and promote overall good health, well-being, and education throughout the state.

“Joy to Life was participating in a student awareness fair at a local school along with several other businesses. A woman from one of the other businesses came to our table to thank us for helping her mother (who did not have insurance) to receive the breast screenings she so desperately needed but did not have the financial means to pay for. She said that ‘without Joy to Life, we were not sure what would have happened, or where we would have gone for help. Today, thank goodness, my mother is fine! Early detection was the key!’ These are the type of stories we hear all the time!” — Evelyn Lawson, Joy to Life Staff Member

Brandt | Bruce Pearl Family Foundation

The Bruce Pearl Family Foundation, based in Auburn, Alabama, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children and families facing challenging and life-altering illnesses. Founded by Auburn University’ Head Basketball Coach, Bruce Pearl in 2015, the foundation has been instrumental in raising awareness and funds for cancer prevention and treatment through initiatives like AUTLIVE, Auburn basketball's fight against cancer.

Brandt | The Hudson Family Foundation

The Hudson Family Foundation was created, and is led, by Kim and Tim Hudson, Auburn residents who use their many blessings to give back to those in need. Through the generous donations from families and businesses throughout our area, as well as fundraising events, grants, and corporate sponsorships, the Hudson Family Foundation is proud and humbled to have impacted the lives of countless children and families throughout Alabama and Georgia.

Mike | Forgotten Children's Ministries

Forgotten Children’s Ministries mission is to rescue the forgotten and abandoned street children of Honduras. Their mission involves encountering these children on the streets of the cities and providing them with food, shelter, clothing and medical attention in the short term.

Furthermore, their aim is to nurture, disciple, educate and provide vocational training for these street children in the long term. The goal is to share the love and hope that is found in knowing Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

Austin | Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts

With nearly 300 members, it ranks as one of the largest and most impactful Kiwanis clubs globally. Over its history, the club has raised over $10 million for youth charities through projects like the Alabama National Fair and manages significant endowments such as the Pete Peterson Trust, which has donated more than $3 million to local youth initiatives. It also offers scholarships, including $4,000 annually for high school students and specialized awards like the Jack L. Carr Scholarship for engineering students. Guided by a commitment to service, its members—many with decades of involvement—contribute both time and resources, distributing $200,000–$300,000 annually to charitable causes, reinforcing their legacy of leadership and community support.
